British luxury car manufacturer, Bentley, is known for a few things; mainly for being the cars of the rich and famous, including the Royal Family. However, as of February 14, 2019, they’re known for something else – being the proud producers of the world’s fastest SUV.

The Lamborghini Urus
Before Bentley decided they wanted to compete in the super-quick SUV race, Lamborghini had released their Urus – a V8 SUV with a top speed of 189.5mph (that 0.5 is important). Combining their love of sports cars with the functionality of an SUV, Lambo were proud to take the top spot in the industry. However, less than two years later, Bentley decided to bring out their new vehicle and knock Lamborghini off their perch.

The Bentley Bentayga
On February 14, 2019, Bentley unveiled their latest SUV – the Bentley Bentayga. This bright orange beast has a top speed of 190mph, so just 0.5mph quicker than the Lambo. However, it hasn’t won all of the prizes just yet. It takes the Bentayga 3.9 seconds to reach 62mph, compared to the 3.6 seconds it takes the Lamborghini Urus. It may not be the fastest accelerator, but you’re definitely going to turn heads roaring down the street in this car.

What They’ve Changed
So, how have they done to turn their standard Bentayga into the fastest SUV in the world? Well, not actually that much. The twin-turbo W12 engine has had an upgrade in horsepower, from 599bhp to 626bhp. The torque output hasn’t budged, however, and it’s likely that their increase in horsepower is just from a hack in the ECU more than any actual real upgrades. Still, they’ve knocked 0.2 seconds off their 0-62mph acceleration time and taken the top spot in the battle of the SUVs, so it’s still a win in Bentley’s eyes.
While there haven’t really been any big changes with the Bentley Bentayga, the British car company can be proud of their top spot. For now. It’s likely that Lamborghini will come back fighting to win their title back before long, however.
40+ People Are Sharing the Signs of Privilege That Often Go Unnoticed
Many of us carry privileges in an almost invisible manner without noticing them in our daily lives. You will be surprised to know that, perhaps, you can relate to many of the answers that came along. Check them out for yourself!
Privacy or Abode
Whilst it is true that digital privacy still has room for improvement in the world of today and cybersecurity is indeed a big challenge, let us take a moment to appreciate the privacy of being able to reside in rooms. Remember, many don’t even have a roof over their heads.

Running Water
This might come across as a basic human need to you ― why do we call it a privilege? Well, the truth is, many underdeveloped or developing nations all around the world do not have access to water, let alone clean or drinking water.

Now, if you are among those who can open the tap and get water running almost any time of the day without having to worry about the water running out or being dirty, you are privileged.
Uninterrupted Power Supply
Another expected basic human need that several underdeveloped or developing nations all around the world do not have is an uninterrupted power supply. Some even need to plan their days depending on the time when the power outage will start.

Imagine a normal day at the home office. You can plug in your devices to the power socket, work from home the whole day, complain about the weak Wi-Fi connection at peak hours, or even get annoyed at the light bulb not working well.
Firetruck
Many villages around the world do not have access to emergency services. Because of this, it can take half a day or more for fire trucks to come and save the area or people from the fire.

While the right to safety should be a basic human right, it is not the case in the world of today. And still to this very day, [eople pass away due to fire hazards in factories. Remember that we’re lucky to have our help services!
Mental Health
We often take health for granted, both physical and mental. While we all are aware that tomorrow we can be diagnosed with a terminal disease and even become disabled for the rest of our lives, we take healthy living for granted.

However, if you have not been chronically ill, likely, you do not understand or think about it. Being in good health gives us not only a physical upper hand but also self-confidence about being able to do what we want, when we want, without counting on someone else for the basics.
Spontaneous Plans
We often disregard this one but it’s actually a huge privilege to have the power to decide in the blink of a moment that you want to be in another place in an hour and be able to act on it.

This is quite a challenge for someone who has to take the help of a wheelchair to access even the nearest restroom or needs extra existence from public transportations almost a day ahead of their actions. If you can simply go with the flow, you are in luck.
Think Rationally
If you can maintain good mental health, without being messed up about any trauma or depression, you should surely regard this as a privilege. People, especially in the world of today, struggle to live without worrying or being affected by what is going on badly around them.

Some people also struggle with holding on to attention for long, or are intellectually challenged and cannot think like a healthy being. It’s a privilege to be able to think positive and sensical notes and one that we shouldn’t forget!
Sanitary Napkins
Many women around the world do not have access to pads, tampons, or any kind of sanitary products that they need during menstruation or ovulation. If you can just go by the store and get yourself the favorite brand of sanitary products, you should surely consider this a privilege for both you and your health.

Sometimes, women face several health issues budding from the lack of use of proper sanitary napkins. Some of these diseases cannot be cured as well.
Food and Choices
Coming back to access to the basics ― food is a basic human need, but many around the world pass away from hunger, starvation, and malnutrition. If you can choose what to cook tonight, or what to order, or where to have your dinner, you should take a moment to give thanks.

The harsh reality is, more than the number of people you can imagine has been surviving on dirt for longer than you can think of. Never stop counting your blessings!
Personal Transportation
We often do not realize how big a privilege it is to be able to get in your vehicle to go anywhere and everywhere you want to whenever the time or your wish demands.

Many people, even with an average income in different developing nations around the world, do not have access to transportation. Even if your car has scratches or isn’t the latest and greatest if it can get you from point A to point B, consider yourself very lucky.
Being Able to Quit
No matter how bad the job is or how annoyed you are with the people at work, you might not always have the privilege to quit. It can be due to contract, but mostly due to your financial burdens and the necessity of having the monthly income.

Sometimes, a lot of people go through harassment, bullying, or even are overworked at their job but cannot simply quit because of the burden of their loans, bills, and expenses.
Physical Safety
Seeing civilians’ homes being bombed due to acts of war must definitely frighten you, but it’s probably also a distant thought that you’ve seen only through TV or media outlets.

They live in constant fear of getting shot if they step out. It is not rare to see corpses lying around in a war-torn neighborhood. People often decide to stay hungry rather than go outside to risk their lives. If you do not worry about such things, it is a privilege.
Freedom of Speech
In certain countries, you can even be tracked down if you speak against a certain political party freely in public. Hence, if you can express your opinion about a subject, government body, or even a particular party, without the fear of losing your life, you are privileged.

While many countries or institutions describe themselves as democratic, the truth often differs. People are encouraged, in many cases, to agree to everything being decided from the top. If your opinion is heard or at least allowed to be voiced, you are privileged.
Live Like a Kid
You may not realize it but many people have to take up responsibilities of living on their own or sharing the burden of the family from a very early age. Sometimes, children have to engage in daily labor to get an additional five bucks to feed a family.

They do not have the luxury to go play in a playground or behave their age. If you can have all that taken care of by elders in the family, you are lucky!
Friends
Having people around you who want to be there for you, make you happy, or even try to solve your problem in some way or the other, is a true privilege. Some people do not have anyone to fall back to.

Sometimes people do not have friends to talk to or to hear them out or to stop them from doing something wrong to themselves. If people are there to give you their time, listen to you, and put their energy behind you, and make your day, you are blessed.
Good Parents
A healthy childhood is extremely essential, not only for you but for your next generation. If you have parents who care for you, your safety and do everything in their power to give you a good life, you are truly privileged and lucky.

Some people have to thrive as orphans or undergo a traumatizing childhood with parents fighting at all times or engaging in domestic violence. Some parents are also too obsessed with making their own lives nicer and have less time or motivation to put energy behind upbringing their children.
People Trusting You
What can be worse than people assuming you are a congenital liar? Not having to worry that people will by default assume you are lying or questioning your integrity when you say or do something, is a true privilege.

Trust is the key to successful relationships and when people put their trust in you, you feel a sense of responsibility and confidence that does not compare to anything else. If people rely on you, you are lucky.
No Fear of Predators
Some people have to reside in surroundings where harmful insects, rats, mice, or even predatory creatures haunt them regularly. If you can remain carefree about those in your daily life, you are blessed.

While we are talking about predators like animals, it is important to remember human predators in the world of today. Some people live in a constant fear of being attacked by humans, getting beaten up, or harassed.
Neurotypical
Autism comes with its challenges ― not only mental shortcomings but also a lack of social acceptance. If you do not have autism, you are called Neurotypical which means you can function mentally at your best. This is a true blessing and one that is often taken for granted.

It is probably not possible to express the blessing of being ‘Normal.’ Rather, we often forget to be grateful for the proper functioning of our brains, our ability to think, move and talk.
Education
We often do not realize how blessed we are to have access to the internet, books, libraries, and institutions where we can learn about all that we want. Many people around the world do not have the chance to learn to read and write and crave to broaden their knowledge.

Hence, realize the privilege and use it at your best. People are dreaming to be in the position you are today, whether it be sitting in front of your smart device, ‘reading’ this article.
Garbage Disposal
Imagine cleaning up your house and collecting a pile of garbage but having no place to throw it to or to dispose of it safely. Many countries in the world do not have access to a garbage truck that comes to collect the waste.

The same applies to your toilet. You can get rid of the toilet paper or contents of your toilet by simply flushing. It is a privilege that many around the world do not have.
Sewage System
Somewhat similar to the previous point but a proper sewage system is important to ensure that your wastes are disposed of properly so that you do not have to live amidst dirty water and waste.

After all, many people around the world do not have access to a clean sewage system. They even may not have a supply of any water except for sewage water. If you can shower without wondering if water will flood your room, you are privileged.
Birth Control
It is a privilege to understand the difference between privilege and right, but let us stick to regarding this one as a privilege anyway. It is important to understand the importance of family planning and knowing when to and when not to bring an extra human to this world.

However, many times, women do not have the knowledge or option to buy birth control pills. Many men may also not be aware or have access to condoms or protective measures that can help control birth.
Traffic Patterns
You may not realize it, but this is a privilege given that many road accidents often occur without people maintaining the traffic rules. Today’s world has a traffic system in almost all big cities to guide vehicles and pedestrians through a safe journey without causing accidents.

However, imagine the areas that do not have a sane pattern of traffic. Some countries are overcrowded and even have huge traffic waiting times before you can travel to destinations, even at smaller distances.
Stocked Supermarkets
We might have lived through the times when supermarkets have been closed down or ran out of stocks during the pandemic. On a normal day, you can simply pass by the nearby grocery store, explore through your favorite sections, pick your preference from the stocked shelves of the supermarket, and checkout.

Imagine not having such stores around your area or their shelves being empty. If you are currently able to access or get what you want from the supermarket nearby, you are privileged.
Mostly Clean Air
‘Mostly’ clean air is a big privilege when we are talking about the 21st century. Given the rate at which air pollution is shooting up, clean air is a big gain. China currently has the most polluted air in the world, which can lead to several different respiratory illnesses.

Another big issue that has emerged in 2019 is the virus that created a pandemic, which is also air-borne and has led to the increased use of masks all over the world. If you can take a clean breath, you’re indeed privileged!
Replace or Fix
If you break something and are able to fix it or just go to the shop and replace it, then, believe it or not, you’re a very lucky person. Of course, the value of the item ranges greatly but there are a lot of people out there that won’t be able to easily solve this.

This is either because they don’t have the sufficient tools to aid them in the process, or they just don’t have the means to avoid a replacement. Hence, it should be considered a privilege if you have broken something and can fix it.
Swimming
The ability to swim is a privilege, which you can of course learn. It can save your life in certain areas or situations but also serve as an important and useful sport. Many people around the world do not know how to swim or are scared to even start learning due to their fear of water.

Though you might feel like it is a basic skill every human should have, that isn’t the case. Maybe people do not even have access to areas of clean water where they can learn to swim.
No Allergies
Allergic reactions can be the worst. Imagine loving ice cream but coming down with loose motion the same night after your dessert runs. Lactose intolerance, nut allergy, pollen allergy, hay fever, asthma, or other kinds of dust allergies can even prove to be risky to your health.

For people with gluten allergies, it becomes a necessity to read the labels on foods before eating or buying any and every little food item. So you get the point here, having no allergies is a great privilege.
Washing Machines
Washing Machines are often a blessing in disguise that only requires you to throw your dirty clothes inside for laundry. Many people around the world cannot afford a washing machine or do not have the means to have one in their houses.

In those households, it has to be done all by hand. It often also wastes additional amounts of water if you wash clothes with your hand. However, sometimes, you have no choice.
Internet
Imagine living without social media or Google… Maybe it is possible to go without the internet for a few days in the world of today, where even meetings, work, and every kind of social interaction depend on the ability to connect online.

However, you may not realize, there are countries or villages where people have not seen the internet in their entire life. Some might have seen it, yet cannot afford it regularly. So remember it is a privilege, not a right!
Fridge
Storing food, keeping them away from rotting, or even putting your freshly-baked dessert in the fridge to keep it in its ‘not melted’ beautiful form, is a privilege.

It all comes down to the affordability or the access to such electronic equipment, which can take care of your daily household needs without you having to worry about it. In countries where the humidity levels are sky-high, such cooling machines for food might be extremely necessary and yet unavailable.
Teeth and Pancreas
There is a proverb in some languages that says, “You do not understand the worth of your teeth until you lose them.” It is somewhat quite literal if you ask us. What would you do if you did not have teeth?

Well, life would continue but you would need extra help or effort to chew your food. Also, Your teeth help to bite, tear and even break down the food particles for proper digestion, where a working pancreas comes to play. Hence, not having teeth is highly inconvenient.
Personal Space
This is a problem that people have been coming out about in recent times. You might be residing in situations or around people who do not quite comprehend the meaning of personal space. You sometimes need the space for yourself to think about yourself, your life, your memories, etc.

It’s meant to keep you sane, without feeling suffocated from everything around you. It is also highly beneficial for mental health. However, it is rare to find space if people around you are not cooperative. Hence, it is quite a privilege.
A Second Chance
Many people do not have the luxury to have a second opportunity. Truth be told, one mistake, one accident, one wrong route and it is the end. Hence, for those who have the chance to live it again, differently or the same way, it is a blessing.

Sometimes it can be made better the second time, some things can be achieved the second time around. So, when and if you have the blessing, it is your job to give it your all to make it work.
Therapy
When you are going through a difficult time, and you need a professional to help you navigate through your problems, both emotional and physical, it is not always that you have timely access to one.

This might be due to a long waiting list at the best psychologist practice or a lack of money to afford such help. A lot of people, throughout the different parts of the world, undergo terrible phases of their lives without having the necessary attendance of the professionals.
Enough Money
Can you act on the spur of the moment and pamper yourself now and then with a spa, shopping trip, or luxury item? In that case, you are privileged.

Some people need to keep a count on how many bottles of milk they buy in a month to control their monthly budget. There is a constant worry about how much they can go out or enjoy beyond the absolute ‘necessities.’ Remember to say your thanks for having more than enough!
Being Alive
Regardless of how cliche it might sound, being able to live is a gift that we often take for granted. Someone who has come back to life from the hospital bed or has gotten a second life can tell you what a blessing life can be.

Being able to breathe without wondering if you will pass away the next second is a privilege. Hence, while you have this special thing called life, celebrate it to the full.
Emotional Intelligence
Emotional intelligence in a family is extremely important. When you are surrounded or brought up in a safe emotionally stable environment, you develop that intelligence as well and can function normally.

If you can empathize, understand emotions and take that into account when making your decisions or progressing with life, you are privileged. It is not rare in the world of today to lack such people in your surroundings.
Freedom
Freedom can be defined in several ways. It can be just the independence of acting the way you want, being able to voice your opinions, or having control over your life in every possible way.

Sometimes it can also refer to financial freedom or emotional freedom whereby you realize that you are enough for yourself. In many states, citizens do not have the freedom to engage in any and every activity they want. For example, freedom to drink, or freedom to write against the government.
Silence
Silence is a blessing, sometimes in disguise. It is sometimes all that you need. Whether it be to rest, to explore, to heal, or to thrive. People around us must understand how crucial silence can be to our lives.

Sometimes, silence can save a situation, sometimes it can give you the peace you require at the moment, and sometimes it can be all a person needs. If you can enjoy keeping yourself away from the hustles and bustles of daily life, you should consider this a privilege.
No Discrimination
Discrimination in terms of religion, race, gender, ethnicity, or origin comes even in the world of today. Things like ‘white privileges’ or ‘male upper hand’ exist within many cultures, worldwide.

If you can audition for a show, interview for a job, or enter a grocery store without being judged for any of the aforementioned factors, you are privileged. If people do not weigh you based on who you are born to or where you come from, you should consider yourself one of the luckiest beings.
No Trauma
Trauma can be scarring, not only for a person but also for people around them. When you have been through trauma, several mental illnesses, like PTSD, start to haunt your life forever.

It is not rare that we undermine the proper treatment required for trauma patients. We often ignore it or leave it unattended. If you ask those living in trauma, you will know how privileged you are if you have no such memories haunting you and having control over your life.
No Autoimmune Disease
If you are not aware of the definition of an autoimmune disease, we can elaborate ― it is a condition, often an incurable one, whereby your immune system makes the mistake of attacking your body itself and treating it as a foreign invader.

Hence, you are in a constant battle with your parts of the body, leading to you falling sick now and then. If you are not born or not diagnosed with such an autoimmune disease and can eat anything and everything, function normally, you are quite privileged.
Snow Plowed Road
For places that have quite some snow in a year, this point is quite relevant. We may not realize but when you have the service of getting the snow removed via the municipality authorities every day during the winter, you are blessed.

It becomes impossible to walk or drive safely on a road covered in chunks of snow, and no, it is not easy, nor simple to remove them all by yourself. There have been accidents from getting stuck amidst the snow in different parts of the world.
