Pickup trucks just seem to be getting better and better when it comes to their towing capacity. For example, the 2019 Ford 5-150 can now handle nearly a ton more than what the model from five years ago could! If you like your trucks meaty, with plenty of towing capacity, then these are the ones you need to be looking at in 2019.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Let’s kick off with the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, which actually ties in third place for max towing capacity with the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 – but with the latter being $1300 more expensive, we thought we’d opt for the cheaper option. With its large bed and plenty of convenient features, you can tow a maximum of 12,500 lbs with this bad boy!
2019 Ram 1500
We can’t say we were surprised to see the Ram on this list, but we were surprised to see how much of an outstanding redesign the 2019 version has had. At nearly $32,000, this certainly isn’t the cheapest of all the trucks on our list, but the luxurious cabin more than makes up for it. You can tow a maximum of 12,750 lbs with the 2019 Ram 1500.

2019 Ford F-150
We’ve already mentioned how much better the 2019 version is compared to five years ago, but there’s a reason it’s at the top of our list… In fact, there’s 13,200 lbs worth of reason. Not only that, but it’s just one of the best trucks you can buy full stop. It ranks highly for spec, tech, and sheer beastly looks. It also comes in at just over $28,000.
So, if you’re looking for trucks that can tow some serious capacity, these are definitely going to be your best bet.
35+ Gendered Products That Are Both Stupid and Offensive

When it comes to the products you see on store shelves, many of them have a gendered label. This might be hair dye described as “for men” or razors advertised “for women.” Some products are so bizarrely labeled as for a specific gender that it ends up looking stupid or even being downright offensive. These are some of the most needlessly gendered products people have found.
Gendered Cheerios?
There are some things that you don’t expect to be gendered because why would they be? For example, a Cheerio probably doesn’t need a gender because it’s just cereal.

When it came to living mascot versions of the cereal, though, they wanted to make sure we knew who the Cheerios were on sight. In what seems like a Cheerios proposal, the “feminine” Cheerio sports a bow and heart shape. Out biggest question is this: how does a proposal sell Cheerios?
“Ladies Tool Kit”
The idea that women can’t possibly cope with a “man’s” tool kit is a ridiculous one. No matter what you do, a screwdriver is a screwdriver and it often comes across as unnecessary and offensive.

This particular “Ladies Tool Kit” is awful for a number of reasons. For one, it’s pretty barren with only a couple of screwdrivers inside. Not to worry, though, it’s clear that these are “for ladies” thanks to screwdrivers with designs including a screwdriver that just reads “chick.”
Did Cavemen Have Nail Polish?
There are certain things that are traditionally gendered that are becoming a more universal fashion statement. For example, nail polish isn’t restricted to just women!

There’s more than just that at work here that makes these gendered products stupid. If you were wondering, nail polish is pretty old. There are records of it dating as far back as 3000 B.C. On the other hand, cavewomen probably weren’t painting their nails in the early days of humans.
They Changed the Color Scheme
If you haven’t found out yet, Duolingo is an app that helps you learn other languages. The mascot, sometimes seen as fairly sinister, is a green owl.

At the very least, the owl is usually green. In these kids’ shoes featuring a similar mascot, they made a quick change. Since girls apparently couldn’t possibly fall in love with green, though, they decided to offer a pink pair as well. It seems odd to edit a character’s whole color scheme for the sake of gendered shoes.
Interesting Choice
The same advice won’t work for everyone. So, it makes sense that essential advice might come in multiple volumes. Yet, there’s a mistake here.

Namely, these two volumes have been split up into “people” and “women.” Now, at first glance, this has a pretty harsh underlying message. After all, by splitting these up like this, it makes it seem as though women aren’t in the broader group of people. Maybe there was a better way to do this.
Monopoly – Now in Pink!
While many people aren’t a fan, almost everyone has played Monopoly at some point in their life. Even though it’s time-consuming, the concept is simple: own the most properties and have the most cash.

It’s a concept that, by itself, doesn’t really need gendered advertising. Still, even Monopoly isn’t free from the blight of gendered advertising. This one is a Monopoly board “for girls” complete with pink tones, properties like spas, and charges like cell phone bills.
Pancakes or French Toast?
There are a lot of things that are gendered that don’t necessarily need to be. Once in a while, though, you have to wonder where they came up with these divisions.

This is one that we don’t quite understand. What exactly makes a stack of pancakes masculine while a few slices of French toast are feminine? Other than that, these two meals are exactly the same. We have to appreciate the inclusion of “waffle” as another option too, meaning none of them needed gendered names.
Wouldn’t Want a Women’s Umbrella
There are some things that everyone does, regardless of their gender identity. As an example, very few people enjoy getting wet in the rain when they’re just trying to get from point A to B.

This led to the clever invention of the umbrella. Especially since many people use solid, neutral-toned umbrellas, it’d be hard to tell what makes an umbrella made for men different from one for women. As far as this one goes, the only difference we see is the tag.
His and Hers Recliners
The great thing about living room furniture is that it’s usually made to share. You can sit in a recliner or lounge on the couch with friends.

According to this ad, there might be a problem in your living room that you don’t even realize. In particular, they want to know if you need a recliner specifically made for women to relax after a long day. What if you only have room for one recliner in your home.
No Women’s Teeth Allowed
When you buy toothpaste, what do you look at? Like many people, you might pay attention to the brand, purpose, ingredients, or even flavor.

What most people don’t consider is that they might need a separate toothpaste from their partner if they aren’t the same gender, according to this Colgate product. We wonder what even goes into men’s toothpaste to make it specifically for men. What would happen if someone who wasn’t a man tried it out?
They’re for Girls’ Rooms!
It’s always sad to see a child turned down for something they like because it doesn’t fit traditional gender roles. After all, there’s nothing wrong with falling outside of this typeset.

When this person’s nephew fell in love with these flowers, they weren’t allowed to have them because they were pink so, of course, they’re for a girl’s room. They even went as far as to ask for the same thing in blue.
Not Just Any Toothbrush
It stands to reason that if you share a bathroom, you don’t want to accidentally grab someone else’s toothbrush. Different colored brushes are one way to help avoid this.

This company had another idea altogether. If you don’t want to mix up a woman’s and a man’s toothbrush, why not grab these gendered toothbrushes? This way, you can keep them straight by looking at the neckwear on the toothbrush. Just watch out: they still look pretty similar.
Leggings but for Men
Clothes are probably the biggest culprit of gendered advertising. This is because we’ve long put expectations on how people of certain genders dress.

This has even led to some clothing that’s technically the same labeled under a gendered name. When it comes to an item of clothing often associated with women like leggings, companies might release a version “for men.” In this case, that introduced the concept of meggings.
Hygeine is for Everyone
As we’ve said before, there are some things that shouldn’t need to be gendered. In fact, it’s a little odd to think that some products need much marketing.

There are some things, like hand sanitizer, that you might think that people don’t care quite as much about brands or marketing. Still, apparently, this brand decided that the way to make their product of necessity stood out was to offer a masculine hand sanitizer: Manitizer, if you will.
Are Those Gendered Trashcans?
There are certain places that we’re used to seeing gendered areas or options. On the other hand, some might still give you pause.

This person was taken aback when they saw two trashcans labeled for men’s use and women’s use. Do they expect men and women’s trash to be different in any way? Should men and women’s trash not mingle? We would really love to know what prompted this decision because we’re not sure where this idea came from.
Not Quite as Tough
It’s frustrating to see products that are needlessly gendered. It’s particularly infuriating when that separation isn’t advantageous to one party.

There are a few things wrong here. For one, we’re not sure that an intensive skin repair lotion might need to be separated into blue and pink packaging. Even worse, the women’s bottle doesn’t come in as large of a size as the men’s bottle. It’s also interesting to see that the men’s bottle has a fist while the women’s bottle has a gentler pose.
It’s Just a Sponge!
When you’re buying a sponge, you might have more options than you think. After all, there are a lot of different types of sponges to choose from.

These are usually labeled according to their durability, usage, or maybe even material. This brand started with their Scrub Daddy sponge, so we suppose it makes sense that their next release would be the Scrub Mommy. Still, there’s something unsettling about randomly finding this in your local grocery store.
Gifts for Her
There are times that you need an easy gift for someone. So, if you’re caught in an office gift exchange, where do you turn for a gift idea?

This gift card has the answer if the person you’re buying for is a woman. Of course, that only stands if the recipient’s interests fit what the maker’s of this gift card was common feminine interests. Why not just opt for a universal gift card?
Completely Different
Shower products like body wash and shampoo are often marketed under gendered terms. This usually refers to concepts like the scent of the product and what audience it’s targeted at.

In this case, these two products by the same brand varied in a few ways. Of course, they bore different names, and the “women’s” product features scents like rose water, peony, and pink sea salt. Still, we have to question the promise of “no bad vibes” on only one bottle.
Why Women’s and Men’s?
There are certain pieces of clothing that don’t have physical characteristics that might result in gendered advertising. After all, they’re all made the same, not specifically tailored or anything.

Yet, this brand still decided to create gendered face masks. We have to admit, it’s refreshing that they aren’t just pink and blue. On the other hand, we have to wonder what led them to decide that checkered print was for men and polka dots were for women?
Man Meals
It’s always a shame to see that you can’t enjoy a nice, hot meal because it simply isn’t made for men. This cookbook aims to change that.

With this cookbook, all you need is a hungry man and five simple ingredients. Of course, we’re not quite sure what makes these meals more masculine. At the end of the day, we all need to eat, so why not just all enjoy whatever we want to eat?
What’s Gendered About Tweezers?
Tweezers are one item that really doesn’t need to be gendered. In fact, they’re usually just a metal tool in a first-aid kit or a bag of toiletries.

Not anymore, though! These tweezers are made by Cala specifically for men. What makes these tweezers for men? Well, mostly the label, given that tweezers have an established and fairly steadfast design. Not to mention, since they’re often metal, there’s nothing really traditionally considered masculine or feminine in the design.
Fireworks for Everyone
Have you ever gone to pick up fireworks for your summer celebration and been overwhelmed by your choices? Wouldn’t it be helpful to have gendered grab bags of fireworks?

Even if you said no, it was something this fireworks retailer was happy to provide. What makes a firework for girls or for boys? As a baseline, nothing really does since their explosives but they including fireworks with names like “What a Girl Wants” and “What Boys are Made of.”
Chemistry for Him
When it comes to gendered products, you won’t find more anywhere but when it comes to personal hygiene products. From soap to shampoo, there are options for men and women.

This face wash really caught our eye, though. While creating a men’s brand of face wash isn’t necessarily bad or offensive, the idea of gendered face wash seems a little unnecessary. It’s okay since they used “Himistry” to make sure that it was tailored specifically to men’s needs.
It’s Just Tape!
There are plenty of products out there made “for girls” that are simply slathered in pink. Aside from that, the core product might not be different at all.

This is an example where a hot pink veneer wasn’t necessary because there was really no need to attach gender to the product in the first place. If you need to use a piece of tape at school or in the office, no one is going to direct someone to the tape reserved “just for girls.”
Safe and Unnecessarily Labeled
For many people, teaching your kids to swim comes with a few extras to aid their lessons. For example, a young child might wear floaties while they’re learning how to move.

These flotation devices are here to help if you don’t mind some unnecessary gendered marketing. It’s one thing that these are pink and blue but that’s not what really stands out here. No, what really seems unnecessary here is labeling the items “boy” or “girl” directly.
Even the Poop Bags?!
Most of the time, the difference between needlessly gendered products is aesthetics. The most basic example of this is to offer blue and pink versions of the same product.

When it comes to some products, most people don’t care about aesthetics. If you’re buying bags to collect your dog’s waste, you probably aren’t too worried about being pretty in pink. Still, if you happen to want that, this brand offers it.
Are Hearts Too Feminine?
There are some anatomy concepts that are universal. In the end, you need certain organs like your heart to live. It’s a pretty important body part!

When it was time to make men’s and women’s versions of these pajamas, these companies seemed to forget that. Seemingly deciding that showing a heart was just too feminine. So, for their men’s version of the pajamas, they swapped it out for a slice of pizza.
Good for Oily and Men’s Skin
There are certain examples of gendered products that simply baffle us. Sometimes, this is because when the options are side-by-side, they look a little odd.

Here, the most interesting thing isn’t just that this pore strip is made for men but the alternative wasn’t simply made for women. Instead, that one refers to an actual skin type: anyone who needs a product tailored to the needs of oily skin. Does this mean that men all have the same skin type?
Girlz Only!
Dry shampoo is handy to have around for a variety of reasons. There are a lot of options out there, so brands have to carefully target their demographic.

The only rule about this dry shampoo brand is that there are no boys allowed! At the very least, the brand is named “Girlz Only Haircare.” We have to wonder what makes this dry shampoo for women, other than the declaration of the company. What if it’s the only dry shampoo around?
It Couldn’t Get Worse
When it comes to portable bathrooms like these, most people don’t care about aesthetics. In fact, they probably try to avoid them at all costs.

Not to mention, it seems like more effort than it’s worth. Since these bathrooms handle a single user at the time, does there need to be a pink one for women and a blue one for men? It seems like a weird way to try and add an aesthetic design to an invention of necessity.
Fishing, Now for Ladies
There are certain hobbies that are traditionally considered “for men” that, of course, other people enjoy. Maybe this isn’t the best way to welcome others into the fold, though.

The goal of this product was obviously to appeal to women who liked to fish. The result, however, falls short in execution. To make this fishing rod for women, they made sure to add plenty of hot pink and even level the rod “lady fish.”
Those are the Same Crown
As we’ve said, there are some items that are gendered even if they’re basically the same product. This one might just take the cake.

While we all want a chance to be royalty for the day, there’s something familiar about these crowns. In fact, they’re exactly the same crown aside from the packaging saying either “king” or “queen” for the day. They’re even both one-size-fits-all options as well, so there can’t be a difference in size either.
Princess or Victory?
These fake swords are geared toward knights or adventurers and princesses. While this isn’t necessarily offensive, it does seem like an odd decision.

We aren’t particularly concerned about the nature of these fireworks looking like kids’ toy swords. However, what really caught our eye was the options here are “princess” or “victory,” not giving the second a title. We wonder if the Princess Power fireworks are pink in the sky too, just to make the theme thorough.
Hey, Hand Over a Bronut
When you’re hungry and want something sweet, you might grab a donut with your coffee. Yet, have you ever wondered if these donuts at the counter were masculine enough?

If you’re like most people, probably not, but that’s definitely something that concerned the owners of this shop. To make things right, they decided to invent The Bronut. In case you still missed the point, they added a “snack like a man” slogan to boot.
Earplugs for Men
As far as we know, there aren’t any major differences between men’s ears and women’s ears. So, it would seem that using the same earplugs wouldn’t cause a problem at all.

Still, that hasn’t stopped the onslaught of unnecessarily divided products. This pack of earplugs – sold as EarAmmo – is made specifically for men. What’s different about them? Well, in the end, it’s mostly just the fact that they’re branded as being “for men.”
Men’s Garage Sale
Garage sales are a great way to help your neighbor take some extra stuff off of their hands and get a great deal. They usually have a wide range of items that you might find as well.

The only concept to remember is that garage sales are often advertised locally on posters. So, keep your eye out if you want to snag a deal from someone close by. On the other hand, you might also miss an advertisement like this promising a garage sale just for men.
A Car for Men or Women?
There are some things that we might wonder if they’re perceived as masculine or feminine. Usually, it only comes down to the connotation of the concept.

For instance, there’s nothing really that would make a Honda Civic for men or for women. Still, it was obviously pressing enough that multiple people asked and answered the question online. We still have to wonder what the non-gender-neutral cars might be, according to this logic.
How Many Do You Need?
Once again, there are certain things that we buy out of necessity that we don’t think much further on. If you need a laxative, you might not want to spend time looking at options in an aisle.

A look closer at these two options reveals something interesting, however. In the end, both of these medicines offer the same thing, despite one being offered to women. They’re even the same price! That would be great if the women’s laxative didn’t come with fewer tablets.
Gloves for Guys
Cleaning gloves are handy things to have around the house. Their main appeal is that they can help you clean but they usually protect your hands in the process as well.

As for these gloves, they aren’t just for anybody. These cleaning gloves are specifically made for men and even come with a “tough” label and a fighter ready to go. We wonder if there’s a women’s pair of gloves and whether they’re made with anything different.
Chocolate for Men
If you’ve never had it before, Pocky offers a delicious and chocolatey snack when you have a sweet tooth. Of course, we always that chocolate snacks were fairly free from traditional gender roles.

Apparently, that isn’t quite the case. Otherwise, why would this company go the extra mile to offer Pocky Men’s? We have to wonder if anything sets these snacks apart from their standard counterpart. Is there any difference at all?
Nail Clippers for Men
Earlier, we took a look at a pair of tweezers aimed at men. Well, those aren’t the only product in your bathroom cabinet that might surprise you with a gendered branding.

In this case, Revlon used their Men’s Series line to introduce a pair of nail clippers for men. Given that Revlon already caters to nail care, we can guess they were trying to pull in another demographic. In the end, it doesn’t look much different from any other pair of nail clippers.
Gendered Flavors?
Once again, we have to wonder what about sweets need to be segmented by gender. What makes one flavor feminine and one masculine?

While this is clearly unnecessary, it’s also a little confusing. The advantage that the “girl’s” option has is that it’s straightforward: this sweet tastes like strawberries. On the contrary, “creepy skulls” don’t quite tell us what to expect for flavor, at least we hope that label doesn’t.
Does It Make a Difference?
There are times that you have to look at a product and wonder what led them to decide to market towards certain genders. What about caring for your feet differs between people?

In this situation, you have two choices: the work of SheFoot Laboratories or the Innovation of ManFoot. We wonder what makes the difference here. What makes one of these products more suited to men and one more suited to women?
All the Measurements Match
When you walk into the store, if you head towards the boys’ section or the girls’ sections, you might see variations in sizes. In those cases, we can see how a chart like this might help.

On the other hand, this particular chart doesn’t seem to need this divide at all. Once you look closer, you notice why. All of these measurements in the “Girls Waist” and “Boys Waist” columns are the same.
