Judging by this special edition by Volkswagen, it’s now very obvious why manufacturers don’t mix up the colors of their car panels. This special edition Polo was released in the 1990s, which may be the only real explanation as to why it came with such an eclectic paint job.

We love a good pair of jeans as much as the next person, but it’s not clear that denim makes a good choice for a car. AMC teamed up its Gremlin with Levi’s during the 1970s to bring us this creation, complete with a denim-style interior.

The Smart car is small, and in some ways, it’s easy to picture it being the perfect car for a child, if children were allowed to drive. The Smart for Jeremy seems to take that notion one step further by adding wings to one of the smallest cars on the roads. Smart for Jeremy wasn’t created for kids though, it was designed with fashion designer Jeremy Scott in mind as he loves sticking wings on things.

There’s nothing wrong with trying to stand out from the crowd. Individuality should be celebrated, but sometimes car manufacturers take it a little too far with their special edition cars that nobody asked for.
