Mini Cooper rolled out an all-electric version of the Cooper S last year. Now, they are working on electrifying something more extreme. The brand announced that they were developing an Electric John Cooper Works. Some images of the EV prototype wearing JCW GP bodywork testing at the Nurburgring were released. There are no preliminary specs announced yet, but it’s safe to say that the JCW electric will have more muscle than the 181hp Cooper SE. All the track outlines of the camouflage of the prototype seem to indicate that Mini wants this vehicle to be an actual track-ready car.
The Short But Powerful Story of Mini Cooper

Mini Cooper has been creating cars that inspire pure joy and awe for over 60 years. Millions of models and hundreds of innovations later, they still have the same passion for forever changing what it means to drive. The year was 1957, and in post-World War II England, the Suez Crisis had sent fuel prices soaring. This led many to start wondering if the huge, gas-guzzling vehicles of the day made much sense. Sir Leonard Lord of the Morris Company issued his top engineer, Alec Issigonis a challenge to create a small, fuel-efficient car capable of carrying four adults, within economic reach of just about everyone. It’s a challenge to fit so much function into such a small package. Fast-forward to 2020, Mini Cooper has a new and futuristic all-electric approach.
Other Vehicle Brands Are Going All-Electric Too
Volvo has said for years that its current generations of the internal-combustion engine would also be the last. However, it’s unknown when exactly the Swedish company will set a date for when it will be all-electric. Now, they have a target. The CEO of Volvo Hakan Samuelsson said that he expected Volvo to phase out internal-combustion engines completely by 2030. They launched their first all-electric car, the XC40 Recharge earlier this year, and also the new all-electric Polestar 2 in its portfolio.
40+ Infuriating Habits Make Us Believe There’s a Little Crazy in All of Us

Everyone has a habit that their friends identify them with. These can be something as small as biting your lips. Habits aren’t that unique and some aren’t bothersome at all. However, there are those that can drive us crazy and too much of anything can also do harm. So, here’s a list of some very annoying habits that you can check out to see if you happen to be guilty of any. Perhaps you weren’t even aware until now!
Incorrectly Using a Spare Chair
You’re running late for work and you almost miss out on the local train. You jogged your way there to make sure you were on time and you’re feeling exhausted. You look around to find a seat only to see that they’re all occupied – the only available seat has a bag on it.

This is an annoying habit people have of feeling entitled enough to take up an extra seat with their stuff. We don’t care if you walk around with an expensive Louis Vuitton bag. Do not be one of these people!
Leaving Your Shopping Cart
This is something that both workers and other shoppers have to deal with at the local supermarket. Imagine you’re backing out of a parking space and suddenly you hear a crash… What was that? Yes, a random shopping cart is the reason you crashed your car.

This is a common occurrence because unfortunately, some people think it’s okay to not return their carts after use. How hard is it to put something back where you found it? Do better everyone!
Parking Badly
The lines in a parking spot act as a border to show you where you can park your car. When you park too close to the lines, then you’re just being selfish and making it harder for others to park their cars.

It leaves less space for the others to drive into their parking spaces. The risk of a car accident all of a sudden becomes great if you park like this. So, for the sake of everyone, just follow the parking lines and all will be great!
Not Throwing Away Empty Products
Moms and dads all over the world can find common ground to share their troubles about their kids having this habit. Going through the fridge for a late-night snack only to find an empty Tupperware box isn’t an ideal find.

Why put something back in the fridge to be used again if it’s finished? That’s as annoying as leaving dirty dishes for others to do. Take initiative and think of others! You’ll be a better person for it.
Abusing Express Checkouts
Don’t be a rule-breaker because believe it or not, we have them there for a reason. For example, in express checkouts, there is a limit to how many items you can check out per visit. So, if you exceed that amount then don’t bother entering the line.

If you do, you’ll prolong the waiting time and annoy everybody else in the process. We find people who take advantage of express checkouts to be very selfish and unfair, wouldn’t you agree?
Texting and Walking
Talking on the phone while walking may be excused because your eyes aren’t occupied, but if you text while walking, then you’re more likely to get yourself into an accident. By now, it should be pretty obvious that the phone has become a catalyst for bad behavior.

So, with that in mind, just be more aware of your surroundings from now on when it comes to using your phone. There are one too many accidents these days involving them.
Always on the Phone
You just met a boy or girl on Tinder and after some back and forth texting, you both decide to go out on a date. When you finally meet up, the other person constantly touches their phone and can’t seem to keep their eyes off of it.

When you decide to meet someone, you go out with the aim of building a genuine connection with them. If they keep their attention on their phone instead of you, then why even meet up face-to-face? Talk about being rude!
Smelling Like a Perfume Store
If you are someone who has a sensitive sense of smell, then you already know what it’s like to be around people who use too much perfume. A good-smelling perfume is a great thing but when you smell like you’ve taken a shower in it, then you know you’ve gone too far!

Such a strong smell is more likely to drive people away from you instead of attracting them. Two spritz should be fine and three at maximum! Remember, less is more.
Capitalizing Every Word
Texting is supposed to be simple. Oftentimes, we capitalize some of the words as a way of expressing ourselves or the importance of a particular word. However, there are some people who send almost all of their texts in caps. This is too much and can be annoying to receive.

It’s like someone coming up to you and starting a conversation while talking loudly the whole time. Just type like a normal person and only capitalize text if you want to highlight something particularly exciting.
When You Brag and Act Humble
Let’s say you just got a promotion at work and you want to boast a little. That’s okay, you’re allowed to feel proud. But when it becomes rude is when you try to act as if you’re not bragging when really, you are.

Humble bragging is more annoying. So, rather brag openly than act all humble and nice when we know you don’t actually mean any of it. There’s no need to be arrogant but if you are going to be then own your arrogance!
Taking over the Escalator
An escalator may be a lazy way for people to go up or down a floor, but it is still slower, especially when there are other people on it. So the least you could do when you’re standing on an escalator is to stand on one side instead of in the middle.

By not following this protocol, you’re blocking other people from going up who might be in more of a hurry than you are. It’s more polite to just stand on the side so that the others can run past you to wherever they are going.
Poor Ordering Manners
When at a restaurant, you’re there to take advantage of the services, not to ask questions. The proper way to order here is to just be upfront about what you want to eat instead of asking if you can have something from the menu.

The waiters and waitresses who work there probably deal with such questions all the time and you aren’t actually making it easier for them. Just say “May I?” Instead of “Can I?” if you still want to be polite. Done!
Not Holding the Door
You’re walking with a bunch of bags in your hand and you don’t have room for anything else. You also happen to be walking behind someone and when you’re about to pass through the door, you get smacked in the face by the door.

This is only because the person on the other end didn’t hold it open long enough for you to get through. It’s such bad manners. When you’re leading people through a door, the first one through should hold the door open so that the rest can enter or exit the place.
Making Traffic on the Sidewalk
We get it – you want to walk hand in hand with your lover, but is it that necessary when you’re walking down a heavily crowded sidewalk? There are people who have places to be and they’re just trying to get there in time.

If you take up too much space and don’t move around to let them through, then they’re just going to get annoyed at you. Also, you don’t want to be that person responsible for causing a bottleneck on the road!
Showing Off Your Vocals
You and your friends decide to hit the local karaoke bar to destress after a week of hard work. When you’re with friends, it’s common to goof around, so when your favorite song comes on, you all start singing together.

But there’s always that person who takes it too far and acts as if they’re to audition for American Idol while the others just want to be silly. It’s like, stop trying so hard – we are all just here to have fun!
Bragging About Being Busy
Everyone has something to keep themselves busy, be it work or something personal. What we want is to not hear you talk constantly about how busy you are and how you are such a hard-working person.

Sometimes it is okay when you’re having a bad day at work or if someone asks you about your job. But other than that, it’s safe to assume we all have busy and stressful lives and it’s definitely not a competition!
The Horrid Foot Tap
Tapping your feet is one of the most annoying habits for people around you to deal with. The constant tapping creates a distraction for people who are just trying to concentrate on their work.

Some even see it as being rude. If you’re sitting down trying to focus but you keep hearing someone tapping their feet, then chances are you’re going to lose your cool. What makes it even more annoying is that it is a subconscious movement.
Placing Something on the Wrong Shelf
You just got a new job at a supermarket and you’ve been told to re-stack items that has been misplaced in the wrong section. This gets very irritating after a while… Then when you see customers continuously doing this, it makes the whole process maddening.

Why? Because it creates unnecessary work for the people at the supermarkets and they’re already working long shifts. So, the least we can do is not add to their load, right?
Talking While Watching Movies
There is nothing worse than being at a cinema and try to wind down but struggling to because of the loud chatter of those around you. It ruins the experience and can even prevent you from hearing parts of the movie. Moral of the story here – don’t be that person!

If it’s difficult for you not to talk and you feel the need to ask copious questions then maybe don’t come to the cinema. Watching Netflix at home might be a better solution for someone like you.
Using Your Phone at Gym
A gym is a place of focus and commitment. So, when you see someone who is constantly on their phone instead of exercising, it gets pretty annoying. They’ll be too busy scrolling and texting someone whilst sitting on a bench that you are just waiting to use.

They don’t even let up the bench when you ask them and they’ll reply saying they’re using it when you clearly see they aren’t. Don’t be that person at the gym! Not only will you get a bad rep for yourself but your body isn’t going to train itself!
Not Replacing the Toilet Paper
Being stuck in a washroom without anything there to wipe with is a really awkward situation to be stuck in. If you’re in your home amongst family that’s one thing but if you’re at someone else’s place, this is one of the worst scenarios to be in.

So, just remember to be courteous of others and change the empty roll with a new one the minute it runs out. Also, from an aesthetic perspective, it looks really bad to leave an empty toilet paper roll.
Humming to Music in Public
We all are guilty of humming our favorite tunes while we’re busy working. Then again, our home and the outside world are two different places. It’s okay to hum when you’re alone, but when you do it in front of people, then you may come off as annoying.

The noise is a distraction to most people, especially if you are working with someone else. They might need a quiet space to do their job properly. It’s just like the sound of a fly annoyingly buzzing around.
RSVPing Too Late
Deciding to go to a wedding or party at the last moment may come across as rude and annoying. They already gave you time to decide whether you’ll be coming, so if you delay the process more then you actually create trouble for the host.

So, for example, if you RSVP a day before a wedding, this is in poor taste because chances are the wedding planner has to rearrange the seats to fit you in. This might lead to you earning the ire of the bride and groom.
An Open Toilet Seat
The toilet seat is there to keep you from falling into the dirty water below and to keep any odors from stinking up the bathroom. Many wives and girlfriends can find a common ground here as they are usually the ones complaining about their significant other leaving the toilet seat up.

It isn’t really that difficult to put the seat down after use and having to remind your partner to do this constantly is an annoying experience that no one should have to go through.
Stopping Suddenly When Walking
This is really troublesome when you’re out in public and walking on a crowded sidewalk. Say you’re preoccupied and not fully focused when, all of a sudden, the person in front of you stops. Bam! You just had a human collision!

Now, whose fault is it? Truth be told, both of you. It’s important to keep your focus when you’re out and about but it’s also not okay to just stop in the middle of a busy area. Rather stand aside if you need to stop for a moment.
Using Your Fingers as Floss
You’re out on a picnic with some work friends and after munching through some healthy salad, you feel a piece of lettuce stuck between your teeth. If you feel yourself trying to use your finger to dig it out, please stop immediately! That’s gross and a really bad habit to get into.

It also shows you don’t really care about manners. No one wants to see you poke around your gums in public. So, rather excuse yourself to the restroom before doing that next time!
Playing Music Too Loudly
People buy earphones so that they can listen to music by themselves without disturbing others. So, if you listen at full volume then you are totally defeating the purpose of beats.

Be mindful of this when you’re out and about. It’s an extremely bad habit to pick up and don’t be surprised if you do this and then get reprimanded by those around you! If we heard someone’s music thudding from their headphones, we’d definitely say something!
Sniffing Instead of Blowing Sinuses
Trust us when we say we know how annoying it is for you to have a blocked sinus, but the constant sniffing isn’t making it any better. Whatever you sniff up will come back down and you’ll have to keep on dealing with more blockage.

Also, the constant sound of sniffing is disturbing for others to hear. So, just blow your nose every once in a while and you’ll feel better. No one else will have to suffer the annoyance of you sniffing your nose either so it’s a win-win.
Occupying Two Armrests
When you’re sitting beside someone on public transport, taking up two armrests is just selfish and uncalled for. You’ll also likely end up making enemies with the other person for no necessary reason.

The only time you’d be justified taking up the extra space is if there was no other person sitting beside you. If that’s the case, then go ham and take up the area with your bags or whole body. Unless of course if the staff tell you otherwise.
Making Sounds While Eating
Unless you’re in Japan or an Asian country, we suggest you eat with your mouth closed if you don’t want others to look at you with disgust. Also, when you eat with your mouth open, you’re more likely to make weird noises.

You don’t want to freak others out by making them listen to you moaning while eating food. It becomes easy to forget about this when you’re eating ravishing food but that’s no excuse. Remember your dining etiquette when you’re eating out!
Overdoing the Selfie
Who would have thought years ago that we’d have this kind of problem today? Believe it or not, there are those kinds of people who would stop traffic to take a selfie. There are even road signs to warn people against this kind of behavior.

You’ll also have to deal with mobs of angry drivers honking at you for blocking the road. Don’t let the last thing you do be making a duck face before being run over by a car… Jokes aside now, don’t get into this habit guys!
Making Every Conversation About You
There’s a lot of exciting things going on in your life and we get the fact that you want to share your experiences with us. When you talk too much about yourself though, that is where we draw the line. Why? Because it’s not all about you!

Others might want to put their two cents into a conversation, but if you’re constantly prattling on about yourself, it makes it hard to have healthy communication. The best thing to do is listen to others and not over-talk unless you’re at your therapist.
Line Hopping
We have either experienced this or seen this happen to someone else and both are equally annoying. For example, if you waited for hours in line for concert tickets only to have someone arrive later and cut to the front of the line, it is particularly annoying.

They’re pushing the line back and making it longer for the people who have already waited for ages. If you happen to be a line hopper, don’t be surprised if crowds get super angry at you…
Clicking Pens Loudly
This next habit can become subconscious but that really isn’t an excuse. If you’re bored and need a distraction then drink your water or take a toilet break. Whatever you do, do not get into the habit of clicking your pen!

If you’re having the urge, rather put the pen down and continue to focus on your work. This is unless you are somewhat of an attention seeker. Then click away because chances are you’ll get a rise out of those around you.
Blue Ticking and Not Responding
When someone sends you a text, whether it’s formal or friendly, the polite thing to do is to respond. People get anxiety from being on the receiving end of a read message. On WhatsApp, you know someone has read your message when you see the blue ticks.

So, if there’s no response then chances are you’ve been ignored. Sometimes there are reasons for this but most of the time, this is in poor taste and not something we stand for. If you’re not interested, rather so say than just ghost someone.
Causing an Elevator Bottleneck
We know you don’t want to take the stairs because the same can be said for us. However, try not to get hasty when getting into a crowded elevator. You’ll end up annoying the people inside when you try to squeeze through without giving them space to get off first.

It’s common practice to wait for those inside to exit before you start to enter. And remember, it’s not like the elevator is going to disappear all of a sudden, so there’s no reason for this type of behavior.
When You Say ” No Offense “
Be warned because if you start a sentence with “no offense,” then the person on the other end already knows you’re going to say something to push their buttons. Rather be honest about your opinions in a friendly and positive way than say something crude.

Most people appreciate honesty but that doesn’t mean to say you have to deliver it in the rawest of ways. Our suggestion is to pack whatever you have to say in a respectful manner and that way, no one gets hurt.
Constantly Being Late
Everybody is allowed to be late from time to time, as things can happen out of the blue that throw us off. However, if you’re known for being late, that’s really not a good quality. What it really means is that you don’t respect the other person’s time.

Our suggestion to you if you have a history of being late is to start timing your life better with a diary and an alarm clock system so that you better yourself moving forward. It’s never too late to change a bad pattern!
Using Nicknames for Unfamiliar People
You may call your close friends by cute nicknames which have a story behind them, but you shouldn’t do the same for strangers. It will probably make them feel uncomfortable as it comes across as too open and friendly.

They’ll then start to wonder if you have any hidden agenda when you approach them. Plus, it also seems insincere to give a special name to someone you barely know. Less is more when it comes to stranger etiquette.
Bringing Food That Stinks
People have unique taste buds and enjoy different smells, which means they might find a type of food appealing that others may not. So as a rule of thumb when it comes to a shared space, if you bring something that is known to stink up the entire room, it probably isn’t appropriate.

For example, tuna or eggs probably isn’t the best food to bring in your work lunchbox due to the pungent smell. And if you happen to enjoy these protein choices so much, then save them for when you’re at home.
Not Wiping Sweat Post Workout
A gym is a place where people go to sweat blood and tears. It’s natural that you get dirty after a workout, so proper hygiene is of the utmost importance. You don’t want to use equipment with someone else’s sweat on it, right?

So don’t be that person who uses equipment and sweats all over it and then doesn’t clean it up after. It’s gross, rude and against protocol all at the same time. Now more so than ever before, being hygienic is fundamental.
Talking Too Much About Food
Fitness has become a huge part of many people’s lives which is such a good thing. But then again, like with anything in life, too much of something is never healthy. Even when it comes to health and fitness, overdoing it can result in issues.

The same can be said about people who are obsessed with talking about workouts and healthy eating. Too much chatter about this ‘clean’ lifestyle is actually just boring and annoying to listen to. If you happen to be a fitness freak, keep this all in mind!
Bragging About Your Relationship
If you’re in a new relationship then you should feel that you can share that good news with your friends but make sure not to hijack the conversation. As exciting as it is, your relationship shouldn’t be for anyone else but the two of you, right?

Also, not everyone gets to live out their fairytale romance so be aware of not bragging around your single friends. Rather remain hopeful, humble and keep the finer details for you and your partner to relish in and enjoy.
Working in Loud Places
This is much more common because of the pandemic outbreak and it doesn’t only apply to business meetings. Online classes fall into the same category of this bad habit. So remember, if you’re having a Zoom meeting, be very aware of your surrounding space and sound.

Just because you have to sit through the loud construction noises that go on near your home doesn’t mean the people on call should too. All it takes is the click of a button for you to mute the distraction.
Being an Indecisive Orderer
If you have ever waited in a line to place an order, then you should very well know how annoying it is to wait for someone to make up their mind. Instead of waiting till you get to the counter to decide on your order, try pre-planning and thinking ahead.

It will save time for you and the servers. Plus, you won’t have an angry and irritated crowd of hungry people making eyes at you for taking too much time.
