The Canadian Grand Prix was thrilling enough, without needing any more scandal. However, it turns out that there was more than just the Vettel versus Hamilton battle to worry about – the Haas team were having a battle all of their own, too.

The Stag Logo

You may have noticed the golden stag logo on the Haas team cars and helmets, as it’s one of the most prominent bit of branding for the team. The logo itself belongs to Rich Energy, who are one of the sponsors of Haas… But they are the ones who asked for the team to remove the logo before the Canadian Grand Prix. It may seem strange, as these sponsorships are usually worth millions of dollars, but there was actually a reason behind it.

Legal Dispute

There has been an ongoing legal dispute between Rich Energy and the bicycle manufacturer Whyte Bikes. The latter believe that Rich Energy have broken copyright rules in regards to the logo which looks surprisingly similar to their own. In fact, putting the two logos next to each other shows just how close the two are. There are some differences, however, such as an extra branch on the antler and the gold coloring of Rich Energy’s logo.

Take It Off

While a court case is still ongoing, it seems as though Rich Energy doesn’t want to land themselves in any more hot water. Whyte Bikes are allegedly claiming for potential damages or loss of profits, which is quite common in copyright cases. They have also lodged an injunction on Rich Energy to see them stop using the logo immediately. The energy drinks company knew that displaying the stag on the Haas cars would be risky business whilst all of this is ongoing.

It looks like the stag is going to be fought over, but Rich Energy has had to stop using their logo (or is that Whyte Bike’s logo?) on the Haas cars for now. It doesn’t look quite right without the golden stag though, does it?

We can completely identify with a child’s curiosity. But we think it’s particularly ill-advised for anyone — child or adult — to follow someone without their knowledge. Who knows what might happen?

We’re frankly relieved that nothing terrible happened — and that the neighbors didn’t realize these kids witnessed them digging up literal bones. Could they have been transplanting a beloved pet to a new eternal resting place, or something much worse?

As a dispatcher answering emergency calls, we bet this person has loads of interesting stories to tell. The night of the UFO, however, sounds like a real trip. It’s intense that there were so many calls coming in, meaning that multiple witnesses were corroborating it.

We can imagine just how surreal it was to finally get in touch with the Air Force only to find out that they were aware of the situation.

This individual had a number of issues going on in their life. First, she had anxiety-induced anorexia. Then, night terrors. Then, a … sheep? Seeing an otherworldly sheep appear in your house time and time again is strange enough.

But the fact that it hopped and bounced around — and even bothered the girl’s dog — is a little frightening. She had the feeling that it didn’t mean her any harm, so we’re pretty curious about what it was doing in her house all the time.

If we were kids and heard someone in a house that was supposed to be empty, we would hightail it out of there and never return. The most disturbing part of this memory isn’t that the house was getting broken into while these kids were trying to feed the cat.

No, it’s the fact that the mother didn’t believe them — and sent them back to finish what they were doing. Something really bad could’ve happened!

We’re all for hiking and exploring outside. But maybe not alone — and certainly not when something else might be lying in wait for you in a place you may not be familiar with.

We’re incredibly happy that nothing bad happened to the person who came across this abandoned campfire, but we’re certain that whoever had been there was hidden somewhere, watching and waiting to see what would happen. It makes us want to avoid the woods forever.

This person woke up from this vaguely disturbing dream to jot it down before going back to sleep. However, their mother called them a little later to let them know their uncle had died in his sleep.

There were no known medical conditions that could have contributed to the untimely death, and the cause remained something of a mystery. However, the coroner was able to estimate that the uncle had died right around the time this person was dreaming about his death.

This particular memory is not for the faint of heart. Imagine enjoying soft, powdery snow all day long only to discover just how close you were to serious injury or death. It made our skin crawl to picture the metal stakes jutting out of the melting snow.

And we wondered just how many times this individual’s guardian angel nudged them away from harm. There’s a lesson in this to look before you leap — or at least make sure there’s nothing bad waiting for you down below.

In this day and age, we’re a little surprised that this person’s grandpa let them play at the park by themselves. This could’ve turned into a real horror story — especially if their grandpa hadn’t shown up when he did.

The fact that this child got into a car with a stranger is proof that we all need to talk to our children to teach them about keeping themselves safe. Don’t talk to strangers — and certainly don’t trust them to take you home!

Every town has a notorious curve in the road that’s responsible for the majority of traffic accidents. In this particular instance, the driver and teller of the story stumbled upon the scene of the crash just after it had happened.

The people who were injured were in shock — and we’re certain that the individual who posted this story was in shock, too, at finding these injured people just roaming around. In the end, there’s a valuable lesson here — don’t drink and drive!

It’s a little creepy to consider what might have been if you had been in the wrong place and the wrong time. This is particularly true for this girl, who was mistaken by a police officer for another girl who had been missing.

It’s frightening to think about what could’ve happened if the girl who posted this story had been where her doppelgänger had when she went missing. We don’t like to imagine it — and hope the missing girl has since been found.

What if everything that happened in horror movies came down to a lack of communication and boundaries? When this person noticed that they were experiencing a lot of unexplained sounds in their living space, they simply told the entity to stop making the noise — and they did!

Perhaps that should be a strategy when addressing ghostly activity in your home. If you don’t ask them to stop or tell them that you don’t like what they’re doing, perhaps they may not realize they’re offending you in the first place.

Again — we wish that we could have some way to contact each and every parent in the world to tell them the same thing: Believe your child! We imagine that there are plenty of instances when a child is telling the truth about something troubling and isn’t believed — and something terrible happens.

The person who experienced this is actually still living next to this neighbor, and he continues to give them the creeps. We wonder what other photos he has on his phone.

Look, trying to buy a house is stressful enough. There are so many choices and so many factors that go into wanting to select the perfect home for you and your family. This couple went to view a house surrounded by large, thick bushes.

We can’t imagine their surprise when a man emerged from those bushes following the showing and walked into the house. As it turns out, it was the son of the people selling the home — a person who didn’t want the sale to proceed.

This is a personal worst-nightmare scenario for us — and really ought to be for everyone else who relies on a laptop or other device for school or work. The idea that their computer was compromised by a hacker — and that they couldn’t figure out what was happening — is highly unsettling.

And the fact that it happened twice, with the individual actually talking through the computer, would make us get rid of the laptop for good. Careful what you click!

We would love a scientific explanation for this particular case. If we had been the kid in question, we would’ve jumped out of our skin — and probably refused to ever be alone in the house again, making everything a big problem for our parents.

Maybe there was an electrical surge that somehow triggered the radio to play? Or perhaps the switch hadn’t been properly turned off the last time the radio was in use? There’s really no way to tell.

This is a truly hair-raising story, and we don’t think we could’ve lived in this house after what happened. When the babysitter peered into the shadows on the stairs, they realized that there was the black shape of a person there that began to descend the stairs toward them.

What’s worse is this all took place during the day — the time when the sun’s out and you think you’re safe from creepy things happening. But the nastiest detail from this story comes once the little brother got old enough to explain himself: the “icky noise” was actually gurgling whispering coming from the figure.

In this story, we’re witnessing another example of a possible visit from after a loved one dies. In this case, it’s a relative that stumbles in and vanishes. The family then received a phone call saying that the house number was in the pocket of the grandfather, who had been found dead in the next state over.

The cause of death? Alcohol poisoning and severe dehydration. It was as if the grandfather wanted to come home one more time to check on everyone.

What would you do if you woke up to a disembodied voice telling you that you needed to prepare to move immediately? We’re glad that this person listened — especially because of what happened next.

The cat knocked down a shelf with a large stereo system, which crashed down to the floor exactly where this person had been sleeping. They could have been seriously injured or even killed had they stayed.

There seems to be a common thread in some of the most paranormal inclusions in this list, and that’s the phenomenon of a phone call or visit after a person has passed. Our initial gut reaction is one of horror — it would be absolutely terrifying to hear from someone who is dead.

On the other hand, there is something comforting about knowing that someone who has died is at peace wherever they may be. It can provide the kind of closure someone needs.

This encounter is half-creepy and half-amusing. The girl in this story was living in an old house off-campus in college and saw what appeared to be a young man with long hair and a bandanna sitting on her couch. At second glance, he was gone.

The girl’s boyfriend started getting messed with shortly thereafter, causing the two of them to start joking about a ghost named Jed who had a crush on the girl. Jed, however, didn’t find this amusing. But once the door shattered, that was the end of everything. Perhaps he left!

We think that the risk of stray dogs coming into the house is certainly enough of a cause of concern to warrant this grandma’s warning to keep the door shut! After the grandma died, however, this person and their father had to clear out the house — and left the door open as they worked.

When they turned around, there was actually a dog sitting in the middle of the kitchen — just like grandma had warned them!

This experience is certainly creepy, but it is also incredibly sad. When the individual thinks he sees his brother, he runs to the bathroom because he’s afraid he’ll be sick. When he gets back, his brother is gone — and isn’t answering texts or calls.

The individual feels better, decides to clean out his car, and then receives a call from his mother: The brother had been in a bad car accident and had passed away in the emergency room.

Do you believe in guardian angels? After reading some of these stories, we certainly do! That’s what we believe was in the hayloft with this person’s father, saving him from serious injury or even death from falling.

There are plenty of remarkable occurrences where someone should’ve been injured and they were able to walk away unscathed instead. Whether this was a guardian angel, friendly ghost, or just the person’s survival instincts kicking in remains to be seen.

So this story is something of a roller coaster. The person telling it worked in retail and witnessed this bizarre occurrence early one morning at the store. They send this scruffy individual to the bathroom, but two more men come inside, looking around.

They note that the bathroom’s locked, but the person doesn’t say anything. Eventually, they leave. When the man leaves the bathroom, he looks entirely different — calmer, better dressed, and grateful for the assistance. What in the world was going on here?

The tragedy of losing a friend to a terrible accident is so difficult to cope with. We think it was a wonderful idea that, since this friend was supposed to attend a Radiohead concert with them, they still had her ticket torn at the gate.

However, prior to the concert and the accident, the friend who died said that Radiohead was perfect for a rainy day — and her favorite song was “Just.” During the concert, it started to rain — and Radiohead played a song that they hadn’t added to their playlist in years.

We’ll admit that this creepy story really gave us goosebumps. We couldn’t imagine how awful it must have been for an elementary-age child to experience all by themselves.

While the child was frightened by the teacher ignoring them and disappearing, it didn’t quite compare with what happened next. The child heard a horrible, high-pitched laugh from the bathroom of the empty school. Then, the real teacher actually arrived.

This story, while still a little creepy in terms of being hard to explain, is actually quite heartwarming. This lighthouse is still marking the way for ships passing close to it and ensuring they are kept safe — even though it has been decommissioned.

Though there is nobody controlling the light anymore — and, by all rights, the light should’ve burned out long ago even if it was left on somehow — the lighthouse still finds a way to light the path as people puzzle over the reason why it’s still able to.

Though we would’ve been terrified had we witnessed the cap to our bottle of juice unscrewing itself and dropping on top of the bottle, over and over again, we had to laugh at this person’s reaction.

They were frozen for a handful of seconds before running away from the scene of the unexplainable happening. However, they could still hear the juice cap being fiddled with in the living room. To drown out the noise — and try to cope with what was happening — they simply turned on the TV.

There’s nothing worse than not being able to figure out what you’re going to be having for dinner. The agony of discussing the possibilities coupled with the fear of making the wrong decision can paralyze couples — and lead to many fights.

The fact that the cookbook fell open to this particular recipe — and that the girlfriend’s kitchen was stocked with those specific ingredients — makes us think that this ghost wanted to help them make a nutritious dinner together instead of bickering.

We’re never going to the woods again after this particular story. Three friends were hanging out as young teenagers and exploring the forest near where they lived. They went off the path and started investigating a shack full of junk they had never seen before.

Then, they split up to find their way back to the nearest road. On their walkie-talkies, they began hearing a woman sobbing and muttering. We would’ve thrown our device as far away from us as we could’ve possibly gotten it.

If you’re familiar with sleep paralysis and the horrifying stories that accompany it, this experience is all too real. Since sleep paralysis is a state between dreaming and waking, it’s common to have scary hallucinations both visual and auditory without being able to move.

This one is particularly scary. Afterward, the person was able to wake themselves up — though it was like coming up for air and they remained frightened afterward.

What would you do if you woke up blind? That’s exactly what happened to this person, who developed cataracts virtually overnight — a harbinger of a slew of health issues that had yet to be revealed.

We shudder at the implications of going to bed one night strong and waking up the next morning with a host of problems with our bodies. Thankfully, this person has since recovered as much as medically possible.

In this story, some questionable individuals move in next door to this person’s in-laws. Right away, they were unsavory characters: They drove recreational vehicles through people’s properties and shined bright lights onto other houses.

They also were quick to anger and got into arguments with nearly all of their neighbors. Thankfully, police forces got involved before anything bad could happen — well, anything worse than making drugs in the middle of the neighborhood.

This is a horrifying experience for this young boy. We would have a hard time carrying on our day as normal if we had been chased by a knife while running a quick errand for our parents.

We hope that the boy told his mother what had happened — and that they had reported the incident to police. How many other innocent and unsuspecting individuals had this person tried to attack while they were sending off their letters?

There is no amount of money you could pay us to get us to go on a roller coaster or other ride at a carnival or amusement park, and this is one of the main reasons why. Rides are very rarely serviced unless something obviously breaks, and there are few methods of oversight for them.

This person is lucky that they weren’t hurt or killed by falling from such a height. It was only the intervention of their fellow riders that kept them safe.

Oftentimes, the scariest encounters we hear about are those with actual people instead of unexplained noises, sights, or other phenomena. That’s particularly the case with this story, which features a man watching a woman sleep for hours multiple nights in a row.

We are firmly against whatever hobby this might be — and we’re glad that nothing more serious happened. After this experience, though, we would have trouble getting a good night’s sleep in a hotel from then on.

What is it with teens and the desire to explore abandoned places, like the individual in this story? Is it the thrill of being creeped out? Frankly, we’d be more worried about falling through a rotten floor or having the ceiling of an old place cave in on us.

Scarier still is the possibility of running into people also exploring the same space as you — you never know who you might run across. This sounds like a ghostly encounter, but we still wouldn’t push our luck.

This story involves a boarding school in a tiny town, and we’re already scared just thinking about how isolated and spooky it probably was — particularly since the school was in an old monastery.

It’s a good idea to give children responsibilities so they can learn how to manage their time and properly complete chores, but we would be creeped out to be in a gym alone at night to clean it. To find out that we weren’t alone in the gym, however, would send us into an utter panic.

This story sounds like something out of an animated movie or a funny fairy tale, but it gets less amusing when you realize that three children witnessed the same disquieting thing.

Alone in the house, they happened to look into their aunt and uncle’s bedroom to see a pair of pants just … dancing around. The dancing was too good for it to be a prank, and to this day, everyone will corroborate the same thing that they witnessed.

Listen. If we had spotted an enormous spider in our house, we would’ve been screaming and running away. This individual’s story is even scarier, however, because he was the only one to see the spider.

What was he actually looking at if no one else saw it? And what happened to the spider? Did it just vanish again? Or is it still sitting there, lying in wait, for the rest of the family to finally discover it?

Why are babies so prone to seeing things that the rest of us cannot? It creeps us out so badly that we maybe never want to be parents. In this tale, the individual was just an infant, pointing out that someone was in the room.

Now grown, this individual isn’t sure he believes his mom about the possibility that he saw his deceased grandparent on that person’s birthday. We’re a little more worried about what an unknown chair was doing in the room — one that seemed to travel there all by itself.

We don’t have a great explanation for this one. We would’ve been just as scared had we been walking down the road at night and witnessed large, glowing balls roaming the fields that surrounded us.

The jury’s also out on whether ball lightning — what this person’s father suggested they saw — actually exists. Some scientists think it does, and others believe it’s a type of hallucination or illusion caused by storms.

Sometimes, we simply can’t explain what goes through people’s minds to make them do the things they do. That is particularly true of stalkers. What makes someone feel so entitled that they can just pursue whoever they want?

We hope that this stalker was eventually caught and prosecuted. It’s wild that this poor person had to move four times just to try and get away from a guy who was completely obsessed with them.

This story begins with the individual who, as a young teen, was cutting grass on their family’s large, wide-open land. A large plane suddenly flew overhead — deafeningly loud and so close to the ground that the teen could see the windows. The teen’s father also saw the plane … before it disappeared completely.

Even though they monitored the news for the rest of the day, they couldn’t find any information about a plane that suddenly vanished — or what it might have been doing off course and so close to the ground.

Another case of sleep paralysis, or a scary story to make us never want to go to sleep again? You be the judge! A play of shadows from an illuminated tree outside the window had this individual wondering if what he was seeing was just a trick of the light.

However, the action of the door opening and shutting — and the handle jiggling just to make sure — is extremely disconcerting. We would’ve freaked out just as much as this storyteller did — though his mother warned him to be quiet so he didn’t wake anyone else.
