Here Are 45 Wholesome Things That Made Our Day When the World Felt Like a Terrible Place

These Wholesome Posts Absolutely Warm Our Hearts

The world often feels pretty terrible nowadays, with a new catastrophe hitting the news cycle just about every minute. Studies show (or at least we think they should) that looking at bad things all day is terrible for your mental health. So, as a remedy to all the awfulness, we’ve gathered up the most wholesome, adorable, and heartwarming posts we could find on social media. Check out these sweet pics, whenever you need a break from the world!

Shark Attack

Shark sightings can certainly be frightening, especially when they’re seen in a lake — we’d be a lot more worried by how a shark got into a lake than the shark itself. But, we think we’d make an exception for this “monster of the deep.”

Shark Attack

This is one semi-aquatic creature we would be very happy to spend a day at the beach playing with. We also absolutely love that the Queenstown Lakes District Council (rightly) decided that this was newsworthy enough to alert the residents about this sweet boy!

Rescue Mission

Turtle soup and meat are considered delicacies in some parts of the world. Unfortunately, that means that these majestic animals are sold in markets as if they were a watermelon or a tomato. Except, the turtles are alive when they’re sold.

Rescue Mission

This sweet man has decided that that’s just wrong! He’s taken it upon himself to save as many turtles as he possibly can from a soupy end. We can’t imagine how happy those turtles are to return to their true home, and how grateful they are to this man for his actions.

Private Concert

It’s pretty much a cliché that dads are stoic and reserved, holding all their tender emotions back behind lock and key. But, even the most manly-man dad in the world wouldn’t be able to resist the cuteness of this scene.

Private Concert

Carol’s dad has obviously found himself an appreciative audience for his guitar-playing skills. We would love to join this intimate performance. We just have one question — does the crowd woof instead of clap in this case?

Keeping it Together

Successful adoption stories always hit us right in the feels. There’s just something about knowing that a kid finally found their forever home that tugs on our heartstrings and gives us a warm fuzzy feeling inside.

Keeping it Together

You can already tell that this is a good man by the fact that he has fostered over 40 (!!!) kids over the years. But, him being eager to adopt these siblings so that they wouldn’t be separated ever again, is just out-of-this-world kindness.
